Présentation
IMPECS (Impact de l'environnement chimique sur la santé) research unit is a multi-disciplinary team whose aim is to better understand the reaction complexity of lung tissue exposed to chemical compounds in the air, to explain inequalities between individuals with regard to these substances, to gain a better understanding of risk levels and, consequently, to better predict and prevent the impact of this environment on respiratory health. Our team is made up of toxicologists, epidemiologists, physicians and pharmacists, divided into two main research areas:
Axis 1: Mecanisms of toxic action of airborne contaminants
In vivo and in vitro experimental approaches to analyze the pneumotoxicity of airborne contaminants and identify biomarkers of effect.
Research and validation in humans of biomarkers of exposure, impregnation and early effects of aerocontaminants.
